About

One bookkeeper. No handoffs.

I’m Daniel Johnson. I own A-Plus Ledger Solutions and I do the work myself — no team, no call center, no wondering who’s touching your books this month.

When you email me, you get me — usually the same day. I know your accounts, I know what your December looked like, and you won’t have to re-explain your business every time something comes up.

Before this, I spent two years running the books and payroll for a general contractor — accounts payable, accounts receivable, and everything that comes with keeping a construction company’s finances straight. Construction is unforgiving bookkeeping. Subcontractors, payroll, and a cash-flow cycle that punishes guesswork will teach you fast to keep a file clean enough that nobody has to reconstruct it later.

I also spent six months on contract with a restaurant, upgrading their QuickBooks and rebuilding a chart of accounts that had been miscategorized for years. That engagement ended when they closed during the pandemic. But the work itself is the work I still do most: taking a file someone inherited or outgrew and turning it into numbers you can actually trust.

I handle monthly bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and QuickBooks Online support. I’m an AIPB Certified Bookkeeper and a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and I keep those credentials current. As the business grows into broader accounting services, the clients I have now will be first in line.

Straight talk

A-Plus Ledger Solutions is new. Here’s what that means for you.

I’m not going to pretend I’ve been doing this for twenty years. I’d rather tell you what you actually get by being an early client.

You get my full attention

I’m not juggling eighty accounts. Your books get looked at carefully, not processed.

Credentials you can check

AIPB Certified Bookkeeper, plus Intuit certifications with live verification links. My cert number is right on this page — check it.

Nothing to unlearn

I built my process on current QuickBooks Online, not on a system from 2009 that someone’s still forcing into it.

Pricing that reflects it

My rates are set for where the business is right now. Early clients keep their pricing.

Why it works

What working with me actually looks like.

You talk to me

Questions go to the person doing your books. Not a ticket, not a queue, not a different name each month.

Same schedule every month

Your close happens on a fixed cycle, so you’re never guessing when reports are coming.

Reports in plain language

A P&L is useless if you can’t read it. Yours comes with a short summary of what actually changed.

I’ll tell you the bad news

If your margins are slipping or something doesn’t add up, you’ll hear it from me early.
