About

One bookkeeper. No handoffs.

I’m Daniel Johnson, an AIPB Certified Bookkeeper and QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor in Seattle. I own A+ Ledger Solutions and I do the work myself — the same person on your file every month, who knows your accounts and your history.

When you email me, you get me — usually the same day. I know your accounts, I know what your December looked like, and you won’t have to re-explain your business every time something comes up.

I spent two years running the books and payroll for a general contractor: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and everything that comes with keeping a construction company’s finances straight. Construction is unforgiving bookkeeping. Subcontractors, payroll, and a cash-flow cycle that punishes guesswork teach you quickly to keep a file clean enough that nobody has to reconstruct it later.

I also spent six months on contract with a restaurant, upgrading their QuickBooks and rebuilding a chart of accounts that had been miscategorized for years — the file worked, but nobody could report from it. That engagement ended when the restaurant closed during the pandemic. The work itself is still what I do most: taking a file someone inherited or outgrew and turning it into numbers you can act on.

Today I handle monthly bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and QuickBooks Online support. I’m an AIPB Certified Bookkeeper and a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, I keep those credentials current, and I carry errors and omissions insurance. As the practice grows into broader accounting services, clients who start with me now will be first in line.

Straight talk

What you get by working with one person.

Every claim on this page is one you can check, and I’d rather you check it.

Your file gets read, not processed

I keep my client list small enough that I know your accounts from memory. That’s a constraint I intend to hold, not a stage I’m trying to grow out of.

Credentials you can verify

AIPB Certified Bookkeeper, plus Intuit certifications with live verification links below. My certificate number is on this page — check it.

Nothing to unlearn

My process is built on current QuickBooks Online, not on a desktop workflow from 2009 that’s been forced into it ever since.

Your fee stays your fee

Your monthly fee is fixed in writing before any work starts, and clients who start with me now keep theirs as the practice grows. It changes when your volume genuinely outgrows your plan, and only after a conversation.

How I work

What a month with me looks like.

Same schedule every month

Documents to me by the 5th, your closed books and report back by the 15th. You’re never guessing when reports are coming or whether they’re current.

Reports in plain language

A P&L is useless if you can’t read it. Yours comes with a short written summary of what changed and what to watch.

You hear the bad news early

If your margins are slipping or something doesn’t reconcile, you’ll hear it from me while it’s still small enough to do something about.

Access that’s read-only

Bank feeds come through QuickBooks Online read-only, with a secure folder for statements. I can see your transactions; I can’t move money.
